Palm Sunday

Against Idleness is pleased to announced that they are not outside scrubbing and staining a deck today, like they are supposed to be. Instead, they are seriously thinking about dying some Easter eggs.

Happy Holy Week!

Maundy Thursday

I'm going to Cleveland again on Thursday, and even though I haven't exactly been stopping by regularly, maybe you have?

I just thought I'd mention it. Also: how I'm totally not going to the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame no matter how much my mother begs and pleads. The CMA is lovely and free and has a ton of Gauguin, amen.

SURPRISE

Maybe you've noticed that I don't feel as compelled to write extensive, personal posts here. Maybe it's twitter (probably not). Maybe I've been looking at too many photo-blogs. Maybe I'm just unmotivated. I stopped making ladybugs, you know.

I guess I never mentioned those.

Think Pink (And the World Is Rosey-Red)

Sure enough, things are turning pink here. It's a big relief. Moreso than green, I think, because people around here will water their lawns all summer to keep them dark and soft. But pink just flares all at once like flush across cheeks. It is the most flattering color. I suppose I don't mind Maryland this time of year.

Springtime

It sure seems like you should be outside.

Self Improvement

I stood in line for a whole hour at a Lowe's Home Improvement center just waiting for them to mix up my deck stain, and that machine just shook and it shook and it shook up other people's paints and stains, and they took them away. I stood in line for a whole hour wearing turquoise tights and tapping my foot and listing to that machine shake, and tapping my foot in time with that paint-mixing machine, walking tight circles around the cart which did not ever seem to inch forward. Not even a little.I also read a book about raising chickens in your very own backyard.

Life and Times

Well. Today I'm going to tell you about my hair. It used to look like this:

It sure doesn't anymore. I guess I got it into my head that I wanted it to look like this:

It sure doesn't.

Not Yet

Now it's April. I don't really like April Fool's, and Poisson d' Avril is the same thing, but it makes even less sense, so I'm skipping right to Easter. It's not so far away. Not as far as Christmas. Boy, I sure do wish it was Christmas.
