Cosmos

I am about to go tromping through Maryland and Virginia and Ohio and I am worried about the weather, mostly, because I've got to fixate on something other than Carl Sagan's Cosmos if I ever want to sleep again. I might have mentioned that (sleep) is strange and hardly happening. I did not need the espresso brownies. I did not need the alarms, set from habit. I am up before sunrise, packing my bags, terrified. It might be cold and it might be warm and the possibility is overwhelming, like the room slowly filling with light. I know the earth is turning just like Carl said, and that means it will all be over so, so, soon.
