Most things are better than muggy August, in my opinion. And these pictures are, again, lovely. Do you edit them at all, or do the colors just come out that way?
They just come out that way. I sometimes edit digital ones, if they are just begging for it (i.e. unflattering, need to be cropped badly, overpowering flash), but I have a policy of leaving manual scans alone, unless it's to balance a wash-out from the scanner light or to unearth an ancient, faded image (archive scans).
Oh! The sky is so blue is those photographs (it's not often that colour in Scotland....)
