Outing

Zinzi came to the park for a picnic with us today.

We saw some blackbirds fighting in the grass.

Zinzi was awfully frightened.

We still managed to have a nice time.

Now it's May.

If you aren't excited,

I don't blame you.

But just think, it could be April.

And the soil could stay soggy for another month,

And do I even have to say it? I'll whisper: worms.

They're headed back into the ground now, don't worry.
